Stephen D. Bailey, Senior Project Manager

Stephen brings technical ecological expertise to the S+W team. He is a biologist with a strong background in restoration ecology performing wetland plant assessments, aquatic species surveys, and threatened and endangered species assessments. He is knowledgeable on many stream and wetland valuation methods that are applicable throughout Ohio. Stephen assists the S+W team with the design, planning, and management of restoration projects. He oversees annual mitigation monitoring, coordinates site maintenance activities, and prepares mitigation bank and in-lieu fee documents.

Stephen also has extensive experience in conducting wetland and stream delineations, waterway permits, and endangered species reviews. His is also a qualified freshwater mussel surveyor in Ohio on Group 1 and 3 streams and is also experienced surveying and identifying fish, macroinvertebrates, and amphibians on many preserved and restored mitigation sites across Ohio.

Training/certifications: Ohio EPA ORAM training; ODOT ecological and waterway permit training; Ohio Commercial Pesticide Applicator; Ohio certified malacologist to survey/relocate mussels on Group 1 and 3 streams; USFWS running buffalo clover approved surveyor.
