The 706.5 acre Pine Brook Wetlands Mitigation Bank represents a large, contiguous exceptional quality tract of established upland woods, lowland woods, and marsh habitats. The site was established in 2009 and contains at least 8 rare, threatened, or endangered plant species and forms the headwaters for Hoskins and Phelps Creeks (both designated as Exceptional Warmwater Habitats). The Pine Brook Wetlands Mitigation Bank is the first preservation bank in Ohio.
