The Bloody Run Swamp Mitigation Bank is located east of Swamp Road and south of US 40 in Union Township, Licking County, Ohio.
Bloody Run Swamp North is owned by S+W. The intent is for the project to be transferred to the long-term steward upon the completion of monitoring.
The Stream + Wetlands Foundation’s (S+W) Bloody Run Swamp North Wetlands Mitigation Bank will be established and operated under the S+W Licking, Muskingum, & Wills Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument (UMBI).
Service Area: The service area for the project shall be defined per the UMBI. The following service area definition has been provided for reference
1. For impacts to federally jurisdictional waters, the service area will encompass the following 8-digit HUC
watersheds: Licking (HUC 05040006), Muskingum (HUC 05040004), and Wills (HUC 05040005).
2. For impacts to non-jurisdictional waters, the service area is as follows:
a. For impacts to isolated Category 1 wetlands of any size and isolated Category 2 wetlands authorized
under a level 1 review, the service area includes the entire Ohio portion of the Huntington Corps District (ORC §6111.022);
b. For impacts to isolated Category 2 wetlands greater than 0.5 acre and isolated Category 3 wetlands
of any size, the service area will encompass will encompass the following 8-digit HUC watersheds:
Licking (HUC 05040006), Muskingum (HUC 05040004), and Wills (HUC 05040005).
